Revived Hollywood North celebrates at William F. White Centre

William F. White International is doing more than cutting the ribbon on June 23 at its new $20 million complex in west Toronto.

The production equipment supplier has invited Hollywood director Norman Jewison, producer Don Carmody and the rest of the city’s film and TV community to celebrate revived fortunes for Hollywood North.

“Canada has every reason to celebrate. I look around and see a lush landscape of new film and TV production activity like never before,” Norman Jewison explained in a statement.

“Our celebration responds directly to the renewed spirit and revitalization of Toronto’s production industry,” with William F. White Centre being a key new addition to the city’s production infrastructure, Paul Bronfman, chairman and CEO of Comweb Group and William F. White International, added.

Also on hand for the June 23 ribbon-cutting is Royal Canadian Air Farce’s Alan Park, federal Heritage Minister James Moore, Ontario Culture Minister Michael Chan and Juno-nominated rockers The Midway State to perform on stage.
