Former Alliance Atlantis Communications movie distribution exec Paul Laberge has resurfaced in the boardroom at indie producer Knightscove Media Corp.

Laberge in 2006 was fired from his general counsel post at the former Alliance Atlantis’ Motion Picture Distribution subsidiary during a knock-down battle for control of Canada’s largest movie distributor.

He is most recently a co-founder and executive vice president of Magellan Fuel Solutions Inc., an energy risk management company.

After his ouster from AAC, Laberge also served as COO of The Fight Network, the specialty channel.

Also joining the Knightscove boardroom is Amanda Ploughman, most recently president and CEO of MediaCom Canada, a Toronto-based media agency under umbrella corp Group M, a WPP company.
