Canadian comic and actor Caroline Rhea is to host Cake Walk: Wedding Cake Edition from Buck Productions for Slice.

Rhea will host 13 one-hour episodes of the cake design competition series being shot in Toronto for a fall 2011 bow.

Bypassing bridezillas, Cake Walk: Wedding Cake Edition pits top artists making over-the-top wedding cakes in competition.

The Buck Productions series is executive produced by Sean Buckley, with series producer Patricia Hollinger, Matt Gaven the showrunner and Jeff Baker as producer.

Rhea is also to host this year’s Rockies Gala at the upcoming Banff World Media Festival.
