The Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund had a hand in helping cross-platform projects last year, pouring $11.1 million into 55 interactive digital projects and 28 associated TV programs, according to its latest annual report.
On the development side, the Fund allocated $860,575 for early development of 22 interactive digital projects, while another $122,000 went to sponsoring 22 professional development activities across Canada.
The Bell Fund has invested more than $93 million in the industry since 1997, with $86 million going to the production of 614 projects. In that time, development has seen an investment of $6.2 million in 175 projects and $857 million has gone to sponsoring 149 professional development activities.
