Veteran show runner Laine Drewery (Hockey: A People’s History) has joined factual producer Proper Television as an executive producer.

Drewery’s new role includes working with broadcasters and hiring production teams for Proper Television’s expanding slate.

“As an executive producer focusing mainly on specialist factual content, he will be invaluable in ensuring Proper manages its expanding roster without compromising the reputation we’ve worked so hard to build over the last six years,” Proper Television president Guy O’Sullivan said in a statement.

Drewery’s writing, directing and producer credits includes projects for the CBC, BBC, Discovery Channel Canada, A&E, Discovery Networks International, National Geographic Television, PBS and History Television.
