Digital media veteran Claude Galipeau has landed at Toronto-based social media agency Syncapse.
After leaving Rogers Media in February as general manager and senior vice president, Galipeau has joined Syncapse as chief service officer, effective April 1.
“I have been a keen observer of Syncapse’s growth over the past three years and have been impressed with how quickly the company has become a preferred choice for large brands looking to build, manage and measure their social media presence,” Galipeau said in a statement Wednesday.
Besides Rogers Media, Galipeau had earlier executive stints at Astral Media, Alliance Atlantis Communications, the CBC and Salter Street Films.
While at Rogers, he oversaw the acquisition of a minority stake in Michael Eisner’s web video studio Vuguru, which includes controlling Canadian rights to its web-based content.
