The Toronto International Film Festival’s fundraising for Bell Lightbox continues apace.

The festival has moved to within a whisker of fully financing its year-round home by securing a chunk of coin from HSBC Bank Canada.

The Canadian division of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corp. will have a major gallery in the Bell Lightbox named after it.

In addition, the Indian-born, now Canadian hotelier Steve Gupta is to have the Bell Lightbox ticket office named the Steve and Rashmi Gupta Box Office.

In all, TIFF has pulled in $7 million during its latest fund-raising blitz to get to $187.8 million in all, towards a total fundraising goal of $196 million for Bell Lightbox.
