That didn’t take long. No sooner was Claude Galipeau out the door than Rogers Media on Wednesday named Jason Tafler as its chief digital officer.
Tafler comes to Rogers from PointRoll, a Pennsylvania-based digital marketing and technology company, where he was most recently CEO.
“We’re thrilled to have Jason lead our digital group. His experience in the digital space will be instrumental in pushing Rogers’ digital activities to the next level,” newly-installed Rogers Media president Keith Pelley said.
Digital media general manager and senior vice president Claude Galipeau left Rogers Media last week, ahead of his replacement being named this week.
Tafler will oversee strategy and operations for Rogers Media’s digital division, which includes brand websites, mobile products and client microsites.
Tafler grew up in Toronto and worked at Zoomer Media and First Marathon Securities before heading south in 2005 to join PointRoll.
