Valentine’s Day is going to be a busy one in Manitoba, as Manitoba Film & Music announced that Fox’s feature Wrong Turn 4 will be entering production on that date.
The fourth iteration of the the horror franchise will be a prequel to the existing three films, delving into the origins of the deformed and cannibalistic killers.
Wrong Turn 4 is being produced with Winnipeg’s Original Pictures, which also begins filming the latest installation of Beethoven the same day. Shooting is slated to wrap on March 25, 2011.
Writer and director Declan O’Brien (Wrong Turn 3, Alice Upside Down) will be joined by producers Tom Siegrist and Kim Todd.
Meanwhile, Vancouver’s Trisko Talent Management has revealed to Playback Daily that Dean Armstrong (Saw 3D, Queer As Folk) and Victor Zinck Jr. (Zombie Punch, Freshman Father) have been tapped for two lead roles in the film.
The actors are repped by the B.C. talent agency.
