Indie record company executive and talent manager Bernie Finkelstein is stepping down as chair of MuchFACT after 26 years in the post.
Finklestein, who founded True North Records and has been a mainstay of the Canadian music industry since the 1960s, served as chair of video funding body, formerly known as VideoFACT, since its launch in 1984.
“I do this with some sadness, as MuchFACT, which I have chaired since its inception, is an organization that I care deeply about. But I feel that the time has come for me to move on,” Finklestein said in a statement.
MuchMusic-parent CTV will now look for a replacement chair.
