Larysa Kondraki’s The Whistleblower has continued its winning ways by picking up the audience award for best narrative feature at the just-concluded Palm Springs International Film Festival.
The Canadian thriller that stars Rachel Weisz and Vanessa Redgrave was voted the most popular film by ordinary fest-goers among 205 films from 69 countries that unspooled at the 22nd edition of the Palm Springs festival.
The runner-up narrative films included Aftershock, Goethe, The Hedgehog, Paper Birds and Simple Simon.
Kondraki’s drama last month earned the audience award and the top jury trophy at the Whistler Film Festival.
