How do you follow-up the lead role in the Fox/Global Television action drama 24 (pictured)? The web, evidently, as Kiefer Sutherland is joining John Hurt as co-leads in a scripted action online series, The Confession, from Digital Broadcasting Group.

Sutherland is to play a hitman who confides about his trade and victims to a priest, played by Hurt.

Ten five-minute web episodes of the action series have been ordered, and will be distributed worldwide by web series producer Digital Broadcasting Group.

The Canadian actor has some skin in the game, as executive producer alongside Chris Young of Digital Broadcasting Group.
