Regina’s 291 Film Company is launching season one of doc TV series Great Minds of Design on CBC’s documentary and bold in 2012.

The series takes a look at Canuck designers from furniture to graffiti and beyond, following creators and their new designs across the country. Season one will focus on sustainable designers and their products.

Great Minds is produced and created by Mark Bradley, with executive producer and director Ian Toews (Landscape as Muse). It’s also Bradley’s first major production as creator and lead producer.

Production is slated to begin in February 2011 for broadcast on the CBC digital channels in HD the following year.
