WIFT Toronto has announced that executive director Sadia Zaman is stepping down in the new year to join the CBC in the newly created role of director, CBC Centres.

Zaman has held her WIFT position for three years, and in that time has spearheaded membership growth, updated the organization’s branding and profile, and has revitalized WIFT’s charitable arm.

She will continue in her position through the upcoming Crystal Awards.

“It has been very fulfilling to work with the exceptional staff and board,” said Zaman in a statement. “I’ve been so inspired by how hard women work in this industry, and how much they are willing to support and nurture each other. The organization can only become stronger.”
