Having done big numbers with ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, CTV has acquired the alphabet channel’s upcoming Skating With the Stars competition series.
In a deal with Disney-ABC Domestic Television, CTV is to air Skating with the Stars from Monday, November 22, at 9 p.m., right after the last Dancing With the Stars performance show at 8 p.m.
As a likely rival to the CBC’s Battle of the Blades, ABC/CTV’s Skating With the Stars series will pair celebrities with world-class figure skaters in a competition to be voted on by a panel of judges and TV viewers.
The upcoming six-episode reality TV series also has an echo in Fox’s 2006 competition series Skating With Celebrities.
Skating With The Stars is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions.
