Toronto’s Sinking Ship Entertainment can now boast the most-watched debut in Nick Jr’s history.

The October 17 U.S. premiere of live-action/CGI kid’s show Dino Dan attracted 383,000 viewers K 2-5, and 753,000 total viewers for its Sunday, 7 p.m. kick-off.

Dan is co-produced by Sinking Ship and TVO, Knowledge and Access. Dan stars Jason Spevack (Sunshine Cleaning) as Dan Henderson, a 10-year-old boy obsessed by dinosaurs who involves his friends and teachers in larger-than-life adventures.

Dino Dan was nominated in 2010 for a Best Pre-School program Gemini, and was also a Shaw Rocket Prize finalist.
