Sherry Fynbo’s Last Word Entertainment bolsters team

James Carroll and Fiona Crago have both joined the new Toronto-based production and distribution company.

True crime production veteran and former Beyond Rights exec Sherry Fynbo (Drug Lords: The Takedown) has made a couple of key appointments for her newly launched production and distribution outfit, Last Word Entertainment.

Joining the executive, who works out of Sydney and Toronto, in the endeavor is executive producer James Carroll, who comes to Last Word having co-EPed and served as lead editor for the Netflix docuseries Waco: American Apocalypse, and co-directed the series Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer for Netflix, from Intellectual Property Corporation.

Also coming on board at Last Word is Fiona Crago, a former colleague of Fynbo’s at Beyond Rights who left the company in 2013 after 16 years. She’s tapped with leading business strategy.

Fynbo (pictured), who takes the mantle of president and EP for Last Word Entertainment, had previously spent close to 20 years with Beyond Rights, helping to launch internationally such franchises as Love It or List It (Big Coat Productions) and Highway Thru Hell (Great Pacific Media) and securing major distribution deals with such networks and platforms as Discovery Channel, HGTV, Netflix and National Geographic.

Most recently, Last Word has been involved with the 3 x 60-minute true-crime docuseries Mafia: Most Wanted, produced by Screen Siren Pictures in association with Last Word Entertainment and Bell Media, which premiered Friday (March 7) on Crave. More projects are to be announced in the near future.
