CTV appoints Webb

Joanna Webb has landed at CTV as senior vp of programming a week after resigning from rival Corus Entertainment.

Despite being promoted in late July at Corus, Webb has ankled to top-rated CTV where, from Oct. 4, she will oversee the programming strategy for the network’s specialty channels, including Bravo!, The Comedy Network, SPACE, and Star!

Webb’s appointment was unveiled Wednesday by CTV programming boss Susanne Boyce.

During her tenure at Corus, Joanna drove ratings growth across Corus’s women’s portfolio, including W Network. She recently launched the Cosmopolitan Television, Viva and W Movies channels,” Boyce said in an internal memo sent to CTV staff on Wednesday.
