20th Century Fox TV has set up shop at Pinewood Toronto Studios to shoot the A&E procedural drama Breakout Kings through to the end of January 2011.
The U.S. cable series from Fox 21 and Chernin Entertainment about marshals and ex-cons teaming up to find and arrest bad guys that escape from prison was passed over as a pilot by the Fox network before it landed at A&E this summer.
South African director Gavin Hood, who directed the pilot, is executive producing the Laz Alonzo-starring drama along with writers Matt Olmstead (Prison Break) and Wes Sherman.
Ed Milkovich and Nick Santora are producing, and Derick Underschultz is the director of photography.
