No more Maple Leaf Gardens for the CBC’s Battle of the Blades series.

Series producer Insight Productions has laid down a sheet of ice at the Pinewood Toronto Studios for the second season shoot of the dance skating competition series.

The “Battle of the Blades Arena” will be unveiled on Monday with a press appearance by a fresh lineup of series contestants, also to be attended by the cast of the new CBC comedy Men With Brooms from Serendipidity Point Films and Entertainment One.

The first season of the CBC reality series was shot before a live audience at the historic Maple Leaf Gardens arena in Toronto.
