Trio of TVO series lead Blue Ant’s kids and family MIPCOM slate

Among the new titles is unscripted series Old Enough!, based on the Japanese format of the same name from Nippon TV.

Blue Ant Studios’ rights division has set its kids and family programming slate for this year’s MIPCOM, launching sales for three unscripted series.

First up is the 8 x 30-minute Old Enough!, produced by Blue Ant Studios for TVO. The show is based on the Japanese format of the same name from Nippon TV. It follows children aged three to six as they get their first taste of independence. The show’s popularity took off in 2022 when Netflix streamed the Nippon TV original to over 190 countries.

The second new series is the 26 x 11-minute Secrets of the Forest, produced by Fifth Ground Entertainment for TVO. The show involves a young host teaming up with scientists and conservationists to figure out the forest’s titular secrets.

Last is the 13 x 30-minute Green Squad, produced by Apartment 11 for TVO. The show follows hosts challenging kids and their families to make eco-friendly lifestyle changes.

The returning series at MIPCOM include the sixth season of the Emmy-nominated teen sporting competition All-Round Champion (13 x 60 minutes), produced by Blue Ant Studios for BYUtv, TVO and Yes TV. Blue Ant is also bringing season four of Every Body Curious (6 x 20 minutes), produced by Louise Pollard.
