Toronto-raised writer-director Chell Stephen (Riverdale) has gone to camera on her feature film debut, Byeeee.

The dark comedy started principal photography this week in Seeley’s Bay, Ont. and is scheduled to wrap Sept. 30.

Byeeee stars Romina D’Ugo (I Like Movies) as a tech entrepreneur that flees to her family’s abandoned lake cottage after being caught defrauding her investors. Additional cast include Augustus Oicle and Djouliet Amara.

The feature is funded by Stephen’s production company Think Feel North Inc., with Sarah D’Ambrosio serving as producer. Distribution rights have not been sold at press time.

Stephen is represented by The Characters Talent Agency; D’Ugo is repped by Amanda Rosenthal Talent Agency (ART).
