Farpoint Films and Super Channel have extended their content deal, with the Winnipeg-based prodco set to produce an additional 150 hours of unscripted and scripted television for the network over the next year.
The deal, signed last year, included an option to extend for an additional two years, with 150 hours of content to be produced annually.
Projects produced for Super Channel in the last year include Ancient Bodies: Secrets Revealed (8 x 60 minutes; pictured), Death of the Party (26 x 60 minutes), An Hour To Kill (30 x 60 minutes), and the feature documentaries The Wandering Barber, The Devil’s Handshake and Fire on Ice.
Farpoint is in production or post-production on several other shows this year, including I Died and Came Back (13 x 60 minutes), Fishing For History (14 x 60 minutes)[,] and One Way Mirror (26 x 60 minutes). Farpoint handles international sales for projects produced in-house through Farpoint Distribution.
“Farpoint has consistently provided us with compelling and entertaining content that has become a solid addition to our schedule. We look forward to seeing what this next phase of the partnership brings,” said Super Channel president and CEO Don McDonald in a statement.
