Leah Rifkin co-developing format with King of Mask Singer team

Rifkin has partnered with Wonwoo Park and his Seoul-based prodco DiTurn to develop the reality music format Mystery House of Songs.

Toronto-based producer Leah Rifkin of Scarlet Lens Productions is co-developing a new reality music series with the team behind the hit South Korean format King of Mask Singer, led by creator Wonwoo Park.

Mystery House of Songs sees a group of music producers and songwriters sequestered together in a mysterious house, where they are forced to work together to complete a series of challenges in order to escape.

Rifkin (pictured left) and Park (right) are working together to create versions of the format for both the North American and South Korean markets.

“We thought the concept of the show where musicians are creating music within a movie-like setting, intertwined with an escape room, to be quite innovative and dramatic,” said Park in a release.

“I’m excited to be working alongside Wonwoo and his team at DiTurn to take this format to the next level,” added Rifkin, who brought the concept to the Realscreen Summit in New Orleans earlier this month to find potential buyers.
