Burlington, Ont.-based faith-focused channel Yes TV has launched a live streaming and on-demand platform nationwide.
The service, launched Wednesday (Oct. 18), offers live feeds from stations in Ontario, Calgary and Edmonton, as well as original and acquired programming to view on demand.
The streamer is accessible via the Yes TV website, and is also available as an app on platforms such as iOS, Android, Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku, as well as on a variety of smart TVs
A spokesperson for Yes TV told Playback Daily that the Canadian programming available on the service includes scripted series Amelia Parker and The Parker Andersons (marblemedia; pictured), Potluck Ladies (LifeSketch Media), Maria and the Mennos (Ode Productions), and scripted in-house production What it Takes, hosted by Christina Pearo.
Programming available on the live feeds includes U.S. scripted series Bull and Blue Bloods, as well as the game shows Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
Glenn Stewart, chief operating officer of Yes TV, said in a statement that the channel partnered with program distributors and suppliers in order to launch the streaming service. “The flexibility will undoubtedly deliver added value for our viewers and advertisers,” he added.
