Love Nature announces new titles at Jackson Wild Summit

Bugs That Rule the World and Survival of the Beast are the two new titles from the Blue Ant Media brand.

Blue Ant Media’s global natural history brand Love Nature announced two new original commissions at the Jackson Wild Summit on Monday (Sept. 25), both of which will premiere worldwide on the Love Nature platform and on Sky Nature in the U.K. and Italy.

Produced by Coneflower Studios in coproduction with Arte France and PBS, Bugs That Rule the World (working title; 4 x 60 minutes) explores the critical roles that insects play in maintaining the planet, using cutting-edge science to investigate their bodies, sex lives, societies and migrations in remote jungles, deserts and savannas. In addition to the Love Nature and Sky Nature premieres, the series will air on Arte in France and Germany.

The second new title, Survival of the Beast (w/t; 6 x 60 minutes; pictured) from Beach House Pictures, sees explorer Max Djenohan (pictured) discovering the survival secrets used by such animals as lions, gorillas, crocodiles, ants, owls and mudskippers.

The forthcoming Love Nature slate is overseen by SVP of production and development Alison Barrat. The international distribution group of the brand’s parent company Blue Ant Media will handle licensing opportunities for the new series outside of commissioning territories.
