LOS ANGELES — Les Zellen of U.K. lensmaker Cooke Optics talks up the company’s new line of Panchro lenses at the recent Cine Gear show.

Panchro ‘is an old name that goes back to the beginning of talking pictures,’ notes Zellen, speaking to a crowd at the L.A. trade show, ‘that we’re reviving for a new series of lower-cost lenses.

‘They’re basically mini S4s… it’s the same designers, the same mechanical team.’
