Moysey moves to AOL

Canwest Global digital chief Graham Moysey has bolted to AOL Canada to become general manager of the online giant.

Moysey was most recently senior vice president and general manager of digital media at Canwest Global, overseeing the broadcaster’s revenue, product and digital strategies.

After leading Canwest Global online for ad dollars to compensate for dwindling primetime ad revenues, Moysey will now stick-handle AOL Canada’s own content and advertising push on the Internet.

“I am excited to join AOL and lead AOL Canada in continuing to deliver on the company’s mission to provide original, quality content to consumers,” Moysey said in a statement Monday.

“At this time of rapid growth in the online content industry, we want to make sure we align to the U.S. strategy while focusing on the wants and needs of our local Canadian audience and advertisers alike,” he added.

Before his Canwest Global stint, Moysey worked as vice president of sales and business development at Bell Canada, building the Sympatico and MSN strategic alliance.
