Strategic Partners, the co-pro market put on by the Atlantic Film Festival, has named Killer Films co-founder Christine Vachon (Boys Don’t Cry) as its keynote speaker. Vachon’s address, The Future is Unwritten, will kick off the first full day of the Halifax forum, which this year runs September 16-19.

Now in its 13th year, Strategic Partners attracts about 200 producers, financiers, broadcasters and distributors from around the world to take part in panels and one-on-one meetings. This year, the forum will spotlight the United States and Germany as prospective co-production/co-venture partners.
