Peter W. Klein could be adding another Emmy to his roster, as the host of Joytv 10 Vancouver’s current affairs series The Standard lands a nomination for his documentary producing work.

The one-hour Over A Barrel: The Truth About Oil has joined the nominee list for the 31st Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Business and Economic Reporting – Long Form. The doc, produced for ABC News and Joytv, aired on The Standard last December and examined North America’s relationship and dependence with oil.

Klein, a broadcast journalist, has produced investigative reports for popular current affairs programs including 60 Minutes, Nightline and 20/20.
