Photo gallery: 2023 Canadian Screen Awards

The Canadian Academy wrapped four days of ceremonies on Friday (April 14), which saw The Porter and Brother tie for the most awards.

The Canadian Screen Awards wrapped on Sunday (April 16) with a pre-recorded broadcast hosted by Samantha Bee on CBC, after seven in-person shows in Toronto at Meridian Hall from Tuesday through Friday.

The big winners after the week of celebrations included CBC series The Porter (Inferno Pictures, Sphere Media) and Clement Virgo’s feature film drama Brother (Conquering Lion Pictures, Hawkeye Pictures), both of which won 12 trophies.

The one award announced during Sunday’s broadcast was the fan-voted Cogeco Fund Audience Choice Award, which went to Citytv’s Hudson & Rex, produced by Shaftesbury and Pope Productions. Here are photos from the week’s festivities, taken by George Pimentel Photography:
