Before walking the champagne-coloured carpet at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday (March 12), this year’s Canadian Oscar nominees and other notables mingled in a more intimate setting celebrating their success.

Zaib Shaikh, Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles, and Francesca Accinelli, interim executive director and CEO of Telefilm Canada, hosted a pre-Oscars reception at the official residence of the Consulate General of Canada to the United States in Los Angeles.
