Fae Pictures ups Lindsay Blair Goeldner, adds New York office

The Canadian prodco has promoted Goeldner to VP of production and hired Daniel Northway-Frank as director of impact.

Fae Pictures is taking a bite out of the Big Apple in its latest expansion.

Shant Joshi, president of Los Angeles and Toronto-based Fae Pictures, has announced a pair of promotions and new hire as it establishes the company’s New York office.

Lindsay Blair Goeldner (pictured) has been promoted to director of production, from her previous role of head of production, to lead the New York location.

With the promotion, Goeldner will be responsible for Fae Pictures’ global productions, including those scheduled in Western Canada, South Africa, Southeast Asia, and India later this year. She will also be tasked with building Fae Pictures’ New York presence as well as developing the company’s relationships with U.S.-based talent and coproducers.

Goeldner previously oversaw physical production in Toronto with credits including Queen Tut and Streams Flow From A River, set to release on Crave and Super Channel respectively, later this year, as well as short films Diaspora and Scaring Women at Night, which premiered at TIFF last year. She first joined Fae Pictures in 2020.

Fae Pictures has also promoted Lauren Saarimaki to lead operations at their Toronto office, in addition to hiring Daniel Northway-Frank to head up its impact division.

Previously a coordinator at the company, Saarimaki will also  oversee the company’s bi-coastal and cross-border operations.

Northway-Frank, who worked previously at TIFF, Hot Docs, and imagineNATIVE, will helm Fae Pictures’ community engagement marketing efforts as its director of impact as it gears up for two features and a short-form series for release this year, according to a news release.
