ytv has appointed Terry Coles, a member of the ytv board of directors and senior vice-president, special projects at CUC Broadcasting, to serve as interim president of the company. He fills in for Kevin Shea, who resigned from the post Dec. 31. In the meantime, ytv will be conducting an executive search for a permanent replacement, according to ytv chair Susan Peacock.

Coles has not ruled out that he would be interested in a permanent position, but says he ‘is not pursuing it aggressively.’ He says he will be acting president until Aug. 31, or until a successor has been chosen.

In the meantime, Coles says it will be business as usual at the broadcaster. ‘Nothing will stand still,’ he says.
