Global has greenlit its hit reality competition series Big Brother Canada for an 11th season, which is set to debut in spring 2023.
Host and executive producer Arisa Cox (pictured) revealed the renewal at Corus Entertainment’s upfront presensation on Wednesday (June 8). Details on casting will be announced at a later date.
Season 11 is produced by Insight Productions (a Boat Rocker company) in association with Corus Entertainment and format owner Banijay, with the deal struck by distribution arm Banijay Rights. Other executive producers are John Brunton, Erin Brock, and Eric Abboud.
Big Brother Canada airs three nights a week and sees a group of strangers living together in a camera-packed house, sequestered from the outside world while competing for a grand cash prize.
The season 10 finale of the Canadian Screen Award-winning series attracted 835,000 viewers, according to Numeris, landing it in the national top 30 programs between May 2 to 8.
