ytv, long on departures and short on replacements in the last few months, has created a new management structure for its production department. Ian Murray is the service’s new executive producer, and vice-president of programming Dale Taylor has added the production slate to his v-p responsibilities. Taylor takes over production from former vice-president Sean Kiely, who left the station in June after heading the unit for over a year.

Murray comes to the specialty channel with about 25 years’ experience, primarily in television variety programming (Miss Canada and Miss Teen Canada from 1984 to 1992; Veronique Magnifique).

Still pending is news of ytv president Terry Coles’ interim term, which is up at the end of the month, and understood to be open turf for a new taker.
