Chop Suey woks off into the sunset
One of Quebec’s most successful ever tv series, the Tele-Metropole-produced teleroman Chop Suey, ended an eight-year run with a final broadcast on Dec. 8.
The show ranked among the top 10 programs on Quebec tv throughout its career, with average audiences of 1.3 million in its final season on the TVA Network.
During its run, Chop Suey fans saw the real life evolution of the show’s three female leads – Marie-Soleil Tougas, Anne Bedard and Valerie Gagne – from teenagers to adults. The series was written by Christian Fournier and also starred Michel Daigle, Isabelle Miquelon, Pascal Auclair and Marcel Leboeuf.
