* Shaw Communications added $210 million to the till when it sold its 50% of u.k. cable and telco joint venture company, British Telecential Communications, to partner Telus Corp., which then flipped the interest to Netherlands cable giant, KPN Kabel. The deal will close in September, pending regulatory approval.
* Toronto multimedia developer Digital Renaissance got a cash infusion of $300,000 through an investment from Canadian Satellite Communications. Cancom, which is looking at getting into the digital service via cable game, views it as an r&d expense.
