Andras Hamori, former vp of production and a founding partner of Alliance Communications, has returned to the company as president of the newly formed Alliance Pictures.
Hamori, who is based in Alliance’s Beverly Hills office, is responsible for overseeing expansion of motion picture development and production, with a focus on seeking coventure opportunities with u.s. studios and major independents.
Robert Lantos, Alliance chair and ceo, says the company is committed to increasing motion picture output to supply product to their global sales divisions – Alliance International, Le Monde Entertainment and Alliance-MDP Worldwide.
Hamori was cochair of Accent Entertainment.
In a separate agreement, Susan Cavan becomes sole owner of Accent, which now has a ‘first-look’ distribution arrangement with Alliance for future tv and film product.
