Montreal director Francois Girard took top honors in the music video, long-form category at this year’s National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Grammy Awards. Girard won for Peter Gabriel’s Secret World, an extravagant, multi-camera performance diary of the British pop star’s last international concert tour.

Girard also directed Thirty-two Short Films About Glenn Gould, last year’s winner of the Genie for best picture.
