Daniel F. McMullen has joined the Republic National Bank of New York (Canada) as vp with a mandate to provide financing to the Canadian film and tv industry. McMullen was formerly manager of entertainment software at the Royal Bank.

Jocelyne Parent is ending a 12-year career at tfo to join Life Network as senior producer, reporting to Life’s production executive Cindy Hamon-Hill. Parent, who acted in several capacities at tfo including researcher, director and producer, will be Life’s liaison with independent producers and will oversee the creative and financial elements of Life-licensed productions.

Lisa Pierce, former director of marketing for Alliance International, has been appointed vp marketing for Alliance Television. Also at Alliance, Tony Cianciotta has been promoted to senior vp and gm, distribution, of Alliance Releasing.

Sophie Henault has taken over from Lyse Lavoie as director, marketing and programming at Tele-a-la-carte, the new French-track ppv service. Henault earlier worked as product manager with Videotron, and in sales and sponsorship with Juste pour Rire (Just for Laughs). Henault’s appointment is effective June 25.
