Atlantis Communications has completed the sale of season one of Traders to the Lifetime cable network in the u.s., and has a u.k. deal also in process for the series. CTV Network has bought tv movies Night of the Twister, We the Jury and The Oath.

In other Atlantis news, Life Network is now 80% owned by its parent company. Atlantis just wrapped a deal to buy Interpublic Group of Companies’ minority 19.9% share in the specialty channel.

With Keith Spicer exiting the crtc June 30 and Robert Rabinovich reportedly out of the running, sources say Sandra Macdonald, governing film commissioner and chair of the National Film Board, has emerged as the dark horse in the race, up against former Radio-Canada president Francoise Bertrand. A decision is expected within the month.
