Malofilm Distribution and New York-based In Pictures have signed an exclusive distribution agreement for In Pictures product in Canada.
The lineup, mainly indie features which Malofilm Distribution president Yves Dion calls ‘edgy niche films,’ includes Peter Bratt’s Follow Me Home, Nick Broomfield’s Fetishes, Isabel Coixet’s Things I Never Told You, a box office hit in Spain, and Massimo Cristaldi’s Gentle Into the Night, exec produced by David Bowie and Robert Goodale with a soundtrack from jazz guitarist Pat Metheny.
Prior to yesterday’s announcement, Malofilm had acquired two In Picture features, Michael Corrente’s Federal Hill and the ’96 documentary Heidi Fleiss: Hollywood Madame.
Dion says In Pictures will deliver an initial six features, with plans to deliver six more by agreement’s end.
