On a Sony job for comm.bat films Miami Beach, director Boris Damast and dop Bob Gantz shot two days and Robert Mayo shot and directed three days, all in Mexico City. The spots were assigned through Daniels & Roberts. Gillian McCarthy at Third Floor edited.

Aaron Shuster has been signed by Stonehenge Filmworks to work on a two-day job for Conro’s new Wickstartt product. Kim Stephenson is shooting.

Cactus Productions’ Jim Lotter directed two days in Vancouver for Fountain Tires through Due North Toronto.

Bruce Worral lensed and Gastown Post’s Brian Williams edited the three 30s. And Ron Bignell landed two days in Vancouver and Whistler for Labatt Brewing through Bryant, Fulton & Shee. Roger Vernon was the dop and Deb Tregale at Coast Mountain edited.

At Radke Films, director Martin Shewchuk and dop Gabor Tarko wrapped a 30 for Zest through dmb&b. Panic & Bob’s Andy Ames edited.

Director Jeff Jones and Tarko worked on three 30s for Mr. Lube through Goodgoll Curtis, edited by Brant Lambermont at Third Floor. Philip Kates wrapped a 60 with dop Andre Pienaar for cibc through Padulo, with Hicks handling post.

Grant Baird had two days on location in Vancouver for Cuna through Bonneville Communications. Tarko was behind the camera and Lambermont handled the edit. Mark Mainguy shot two days with dop Miroslaw Baszak for Concerned Children’s Advertisers through v&b. Michelle Czukar at Partners’ Post edited the 30- and 45-second spots.

Tarko also shot and directed food segments for a Chef Boyardee spot for Heathgate Films. The job was through Leo Burnett and James Taylor at Partner’s Post edited.

At Apple Box, Bob Keates picked up two days and Randy MacDonald and John Spooner each directed a day on two pools for Irwin Toys. Spooner shot all four days in Edmonton and Studio Post did the edit. Fred Frame directed a day with Spooner for Molson Dry. The assignment was through BBDO Vancouver.

Hobby Morrison shot and directed a day for cibc through Padulo Advertising. Chris Brook at Partners’ Post edited. Dale Heslip landed two days for Hamburger Helper, with James Gardner manning the camera. The spot was through FCB Toronto and Axyz’s Bruce Copeman edited.

Kari Skogland picked up four days with dop Baszak for Canada Life, assigned by Promanad Communications and edited by Baxter.

Don Allan wrapped a day and a half for Sega City through Boom. Marc Elliott was on camera and Gerry Banning at Partners’ Post edited. Allan and Baszak teamed up for two days on a Ford spot through Young & Rubicam.

On a London Life job, Rupert Wainwright and dop Alar Kivilo had three days out of Goodgoll Curtis, posted by Baxter. Clay Staub directed a day with Baszak for Molson through Cossette Montreal.

Rave Films’ Bob Canning picked up two days in Florida for Ford, with Guy Furner the dop. The spots were through Young & Rubicam. Attalai edited.

Bob Canning teamed up with dop Nick Allen-Woolfe for Secret through Leo Burnett, with post by Smash’s Denis Takacs.

Imported Artists’ Richard D’Alessio landed two 30s for Chrysler Canada through BBDO Canada. The four-day Houston, Texas, shoot was lensed by Simon Mestel and posted by Third Floor’s Richard Unruh. Wayne Gibson directed six 15-second spots for Old Style Pilsner through MacLaren McCann. dop on the day-long Vancouver shoot was Rene Ohashi and Hajek edited.

Dan Hackett of Maxx Productions landed a spot for Liberty Health Insurance through Grey Canada. Tarko shot and Third Floor’s Alex Eaton edited.

At L.T.B. Productions, Christopher Gentile teamed up with dop Harry Makin on a one-day in-studio shoot for Sears through Prism Communications. Third Floor’s Barry McMann edited the 30.

George D’Amato shot two days on location in Vancouver for the Government of b.c. through Lanyon Phillips and Partners. David Pelletier was the dop and Tregale edited. D’Amato will also be shooting two days on location in Toronto for Dow Chemicals through bbdo. Doug Koch will handle camera duties and Flashcut’s Chris Parkins will edit.
