– Missing on way back
Regina-based Partners in Motion begins production June 15 on the one-hour documentary Missing On Way Back. History Television and the Saskatchewan Communications Network will broadcast the production this fall.
Missing On Way Back was written by Steven Scriver of Edmonton and deals with the life of a young Saskatchewan pilot named Rusty Haug who was killed over the Bay of Biscay during ww ii. Ron G’etz at Partners in Motion will produce.
-Summer workshop
Toronto’s Bishop Strachan School is introducing the co-ed BSS Film and Video Summer Workshop, offering secondary school students the opportunity to gain an insight and understanding of the film and television industry, while learning production, guided by experienced filmmaking professionals.
Members of the Toronto film community leading workshops will include Don McKellar on screenwriting, Camelia Frieberg (Atom Egoyan’s producer) on producing, and Clement Virgo will lead a directing workshop.
Other talent involved in the 20-day intensive program are director Brigitte Berman, Kevin Sullivan (Sullivan Entertainment), Cinematheque Ontario’s James Quandt, writer Paul Quarrington, editor Ron Sanders, composer John Welsman and the nfb’s Louise Lore.
