Nerd Corps Entertainment will turn out a second season of its Legion of Super Evil this fall, following a 26 x 30 order from YTV. The Vancouver shop looks to deliver the new episodes next spring or summer, and is augmenting the cartoon series with online properties and a tradable card game.

The series is aimed at the six- to 11-year-old set, and recently sold to broadcasters in territories including Spain, Portugal, Benelux and Israel. It also airs on Cartoon Network in the U.S. and CBBC in the U.K.

‘League of Super Evil is that rare property that really goes against the typical structure of a kids series,’ says Nerd Corps president Ken Faier in a release. ‘We are having a great time playing with the norms of the typical super hero and villain world by pitting our lame super villains against the forces of the neighborhood.
