VisionTV has added another title to its short list of developing comedy-drama series, putting Flatearth E.R. alongside the three projects unveiled in August.
The multi-faith channel said this week that it is moving forward on the show from Angel Entertainment (Rabbit Fall) in Saskatchewan.
Flatearth E.R. is the story of a ‘strong-willed South African surgeon’ who moves to a small Prairie community, where she must learn to co-exist with the aging and cantankerous town doctor.
The project comes from co-creators Bob Crowe and Wally Start, with support from SaskFilm and SCN. It joins Local 68, Saint Michael and Taking on Water.
One of the four will be okayed as a series, looking to air in fall of 2010.
