Suzanne Berger’s Upstart Motion Pictures has signed Campbell Scott (The Sheltering Sky, Dying Young, Singles) and Fiona Loewi (Love and Death on Long Island, Blackheart) to play the lead roles in Top of the Food Chain, which begins shooting in Toronto June 15.

Nigel Bennett (Psi Factor) has also joined the cast of the John Paizs-helmed (The Big Crimewave) sci-fi comedy budgeted at $2.5 million. Equinox has Canadian distribution rights and Berger is currently in talks with u.s. distributors.
