In Playback First Take June 23, Playback incorrectly described Paragon Entertainment’s financial status as ‘bankrupt.’
For the record, Price Waterhouse has been appointed by the Ontario Court (General Division), to monitor the business and affairs of the corporation. Price Waterhouse is in the process of selling off Paragon’s remaining assets.
On June 19, Paragon’s board of directors and remaining officers resigned. The Toronto Stock Exchange is reviewing Paragon’s listing.

Last issue it was reported that Jane Tattersall of Tattersall Sound received the Playback-sponsored Payback Award at the Canadian Film Centre’s short film screenings earlier this month. Other Payback award recipients Robert Manson, Lenita Karhunen and Branimir Ruzic were also honored for their distinguished service and contribution to the craft of filmmaking in Canada.
