Lise Corriveau has retired from Telefilm Canada after 22 years.
Corriveau, a familiar figure on the festival circuit as Telefilm’s director of fests and markets, retired on Oct. 2, the organization announced on Tuesday. No replacement has been announced.
Corriveau began her career at Telefilm as secretary to the board of directors in 1987, and was later promoted to secretary of the corporation and coordinator of institutional programs. Ten years later, she was tapped as international markets officer, and eventually became director of festivals and markets.
Telefilm’s head of business development Sheila de La Varende paid tribute to Corriveau for ‘her tireless dedication to Canadian companies and creators,’ in a release.
